While the Porter County Chapter office in Valpo doesn't schedule donation appointments or the drives themselves, we do provide volunteers to assist in canteen and registration at the blood drives. The following 2 volunteer jobs are available:
Registration Volunteers
Description of Task: This person will be seated at a table and registers donors as they arrive at a donation site.
Canteen Volunteers
Description of Task: This volunteer provides beverages and snacks while monitoring each blood donor. This volunteer position requires standing for several hours at a time. Volunteers are provided with on-site training for this position [approx. 15 - 30 minutes]. Bloodmobiles are generally on weekdays and last approximately 4 and 6 hours in duration.

If you are interested in volunteering for one of these tasks, please call Gail Atkinson.
